When You've Been In An Accident, What You Don't Know Can Hurt You

Overlooked injuries can result in the misdiagnosis of accident victims. According to the American Medical Association, (AMA), even minor accidents often cause a litany of symptoms such as; headaches, concussion or (MTBI) mild traumatic brain injury, and can cause instability of the spine, otherwise known as "Whiplash" type injuries.

It is also common for individuals to experience neck and radiating pain to the shoulders, arms, or hands, as well as dizziness or vertigo, visual disturbances, sleep disturbances. Interpersonal and social, recreational, or occupational interests and activities may be affected.

According to a 1983 study printed in the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, 90% of patients evaluated after a motor vehicle crash suffered injures involving the joints, muscles, and nerves. This has been shown in studies to exist even in low-impact collisions with no damage to very little damage to vehicles.
